Caffeini brewtach is a coffee maker concept developed during the D7007A - Formgivning (Design) course, where the brief was to design a home electronic device with myself as the client.
I wanted to create a coffee maker that feels thoughtful, sustainable, and easy to place in the kitchen. In my opinion, many coffee makers are hard to position naturally on a counter, and they often feel cheap or disposable.
Design Highlights
Flush-back design: Clear back panel allows placement against a wall and opens possibilities for better repairability.
Sustainable choice: Includes a reusable coffee filter to reduce waste and should be possible to repair.
Functional layout: Two main compartments for coffee grounds and water, plus standard features like a timer, clock, and smart home connectivity.
Inspiration: Retro home electronics and 1980s sports cars (including the Lamborghini Countach) influenced the design’s playful proportions and dynamic lines.
